PD Training’s Lean Coaching has been designed to provide your organisation with the support it needs for the successful implementation of Continuous Improvement such as Lean or Lean Six Sigma. Our Lean Coaches are experts at helping organisations improve their business efficiency and achieve higher levels of success.
Lean Coaching provides you with the information to make informed decisions, ensure that you keep to the budget and get the results you require when applying Continuous Improvement methodologies within your organisation. To truly harness the potential benefits from any business improvement programs such as Lean or Lean Six Sigma it is essential to use professional support such as Lean Coaches.
To begin the process, we help you identify your required outcomes through an analysis conversation with one of our expert team. This will ensure that we have a thorough understanding of your strategic and operational goals including the drivers for the Lean Six Sigma Initiative.
The Continuous Improvement expert we arrange to meet you will have experience relevant to your industry and take a consultative process to listen and develop an understanding of your team and organisation during the analysis session. Recommendations are then put forward in relation to training and ongoing implementation based on your biggest opportunities.
PD Training’s Lean Coaching can cover many aspects, so after the analysis session a recommendations plan is created which will include training and or coaching support to help achieve a successful implementation in the most efficient and cost effective way based on your specific situation.
The first step of the process is a consultation with one of our skilled and experienced Client Relationship Managers. Based on the outcomes of these consultations an expert Lean Coach will be recommended plus a quote including terms of engagement.
The second step will be on onsite review by your Lean Coach of the critical business issues with the organisation’s management team, conducting a root cause analysis and identifying the key focus areas. This will be followed by a review of organisations current Continuous Improvement strategies.
Step Three will include a report and recommendations on what is required to support the implementation and embedding of Lean or Lean Six Sigma methodologies within your organisation.

Many clients ask if they ‘just need a coach’ or ‘just need training’. The answer can be either depending on the amount of experience and scale of adoption you have for Lean and Lean Six Sigma implementations.
Most commonly we find the best option is to begin with training to ensure everyone is aware of the concepts, principals and techniques, and then support implementation with coaching for about 6-months. Sometimes a single coaching session per month throughout the implementation makes sense, and some clients have us work with them on their projects for a full 12-months.
We’ll be able to help you make the best decision after your initial analysis session.
